Live any life in a changing historical Asia
The scenario covers a broad Asian world from Sri Lanka and the Indian subcontinent through Central Asia and Southeast Asia to Ming China, Joseon Korea, Japan, Mongolia, and surrounding frontier societies. The opening political situation is inspired by the world around 1500: Ayutthaya, Lan Na, Lan Xang, Dai Viet, Ava, Hanthawaddy, Mrauk U, the Ming Empire, Joseon, Japanese warrior polities, the Lodi Sultanate, Bengal, Gujarat, the Deccan states, Vijayanagara, Gajapati, and many smaller powers coexist. The map's modern cell names are only geographic containers; political control is represented by scenario stats and may change during play.
It is 1 January 1500. Choose any available realm and begin as a ruler, noble, official, scholar, merchant, craftsperson, farmer, soldier, religious figure, traveler, or ordinary resident. Your starting status shapes your opportunities, but it does not guarantee success. You may seek power, wealth, knowledge, service, family security, exploration, or an ordinary life while kingdoms and communities pursue their own interests around you.
Historical Start, Dynamic Future. Events after the opening date are not forced to follow real history. The world continues to act even when the player does not intervene. Rulers may conduct diplomacy, administer territory, appoint officials, manage taxation and trade, respond to unrest, and direct state policy. Ordinary characters may work, trade, study, travel, enter service, build relationships, acquire property, and seek social advancement. Social position may rise or fall through believable appointments, inheritance, wealth, reputation, political change, and conflict. Characters age; family connections, property, reputation, and legacy may pass across generations. Non-player characters and states have independent interests. Economic conditions, stability, trade, and local prosperity respond to policy, conflict, disaster, commerce, and political change. No single victory condition is imposed: ruling an empire, building a merchant house, serving a court, preserving a family, advancing knowledge, or simply surviving are all valid lives.
