The World at War
The map covers most of Asia, from the Mediterranean to Japan, including the Indian subcontinent, Central Asia, and Southeast Asia. The climate varies from frozen steppes to tropical jungles, each offering different resources and challenges.
In the year 190 AD, the Han dynasty crumbles. Warlords across the Central Plains fight for supremacy, but they are not alone. From the western reaches, Roman legions march along the Silk Road; the Kushan war elephants thunder down from the Hindu Kush; the Gupta Empire pushes north from the Ganges; the Xiongnu riders sweep south from the Mongolian steppes; the Xianbei gather in the northeast; Himiko's Yamatai fleet threatens the eastern coast; Goguryeo expands from the Korean peninsula; Linyi raids the southern shores; the Qiang and Shanyue tribes rise in the mountains. Alliances shift, betrayals bloom, and the fate of Asia will be decided not by one emperor, but by twenty ambitious rulers.
Each faction controls territories (cells) and has resources: Gold, Silver, Army, Warhorses, and Food. Territories produce Food via the Harvest stat. Players can trade, bribe, and conquer. Turn advances each round.
