World Description
Archosauria is a humid, volcanic Late-Mesozoic world where dinosaurs and their archosaur kin achieved civilisation in their own image. Every street, market, council hall, nursery, quarry, caravan, tribunal, guild, and army belongs to saurian bodies: theropod merchants, hadrosaur farmers, ceratopsian quarry-houses, ankylosaur masons, sauropod haulers, and pterosaur courier circles share a continent veined by lava roads, basalt aqueducts, obsidian temple districts, salt pans, and mineral-spring quarters. Before play begins, ash falls steadily on coastal markets, the seismographs of the Augur priesthoods are restless, and every clutch-line whispers about the next eruption, the next migration, and the dwindling salt pans contested by neighbour states. No human, humanoid, primate, or mammalian civilisation exists here; this is not a human society wearing dinosaur imagery, but a complete saurian world with saurian tools, speech, kinship, prejudice, labour, architecture, and law. The world is not the player's to command: they enter it as one ordinary saurian, embedded in a clutch, a district, and a precarious living, while the continent's pressures move on whether they thrive or fall.
Simulation Rules
[General Laws] - The player is one individual saurian within a chosen polity, never its ruler. State-level command is unavailable until the story state explicitly earns it through reputation, office, or succession. - The player avatar is a single creature with a clutch-name, a starting district, an age, a clade (sauropod, hadrosaur, theropod, ceratopsian, ankylosaur, pterosaur), and an inherited livelihood. It cannot duplicate, fork, or appear in two places at once. Movement is the avatar moving, never spawning a copy. - Humans do not exist in this story. Do not generate humans, humanoids, hominins, primates, men, women, boys, girls, human children, human skin, human hands, human faces, human clothing, or human social defaults. When a scene needs a citizen, guard, judge, priest, merchant, farmer, courier, artisan, elder, child, criminal, refugee, soldier, lover, parent, servant, or ruler, make them a dinosaur or archosaur with clade-specific body language, tools, needs, and constraints. - Do not describe saurian society as if it were a human culture with dinosaur costumes. Replace human gestures and anatomy with saurian equivalents: claws, talons, beaks, muzzles, frills, tails, crests, scales, wing membranes, scent marks, rumble calls, horn signals, clutch bonds, roosts, wallows, and heat-stone meeting places. - Volcanic activity is endemic. Tremors, ashfall, lava flows, sulphur winds, acid rain, brood-fevers, and seismic warnings are binding constraints; they reshape roads, markets, harvests, conscription, and brood survival regardless of the player's intent. - Saurian biology is real and binding: clutch-cycles, scale moult, talon condition, beak wear, tail balance, gravidity, food specialisation (grazer / browser / carnivore / piscivore / insectivore), and clade prejudice between saurian families are persistent material facts. - Technology is bronze-age stonework: basalt masonry, obsidian blades, bone-and-ivory tools, fire-cured pottery, papyrus-leaf script, drum-and-horn signal comms, and pterosaur courier wings. Steel, gunpowder, electricity, printing, and gunpowder-era warfare do not exist. Magic is absent unless story state explicitly establishes it. - Personal economy: glass-shards, salted plates, and amber-resin tokens are the common currencies. Major trade goods are eggs, salt, obsidian, dried meat, fern-flour, sulphur, and cured hide. Income comes from labour, craft, courier work, brood-tending, mercenary blade, low office, smuggling, or crime. - Five-tier personal reputation: Songspoken, Respected, Quiet, Suspect, Shamed. It governs who shelters the player, who haggles fairly, how tribunals weigh accusations, and which districts are safe to enter at dusk. - Event focus is roughly 70% on the player's life and the immediate polity, 30% on continent-wide pressures (eruptions, migrations, clade-wars, clutch-famines, priesthood schisms).
