The Age of Strife is ending, but the final war for Humanity's cradle has just begun. Dictators, techno-sorcerers, and flesh-crafters dominate the rad-wastes of Terra. From the Hymalazian peaks, the Emperor prepares his Thunder Warriors for the ultimate conquest. Will you unite the shattered world under the Imperial Truth, or will Terra burn forever
Terra in the late 30th Millennium is a dying, post-apocalyptic world. The oceans have completely dried up, leaving vast, salt-crusted abysses and toxic lowlands controlled by the Pan-Pacific Empire. The atmosphere is choked with industrial smog and radioactive fallout, creating massive wasteland zones (Rad-Wastes) where unaugmented humans suffer constant attrition. Civilizations survive only inside massive, overpopulated hive city complexes (such as in Indo Polities or Hy-Brasil) or deep subterranean forge vaults (like the Terrawatt Clans under the Ural Mountains). Nature is dead; technology from the Dark Age of Science is rare, highly coveted, and often abused by techno-barbarian tyrants.
The scenario takes place at the very beginning of the Unification Wars on Terra. The planet is fractured into dozens of hostile techno-barbarian states, ruled by cruel gene-sorcerers and warlords. The Emperor of Mankind has just emerged from his subterranean laboratories in the Hymalazia mountains, wielding his newly created Thunder Warriors and Custodian Guard. He commands a tiny but technologically superior faction, completely surrounded by aggressive super-states like Ursh and the Pan-Pacific Empire. The objective of the Imperial faction is to subjugate or diplomatically integrate all other nations to birth the Imperium of Man, while other factions fight for survival or total dominance over the ruins of Earth.
1. Tech vs Numbers: Small, elite armies belonging to Hymalazia (Thunder Warriors, Custodians) or Achaemenidia should drastically outperform mass techno-barbarian conscripts in direct combat, especially in defensive or close-quarters terrain. 2. Rad Attrition: Any regular human unit moving through Rad-Wastes without proper protective traits must take gradual attrition damage. Genetically modified or cybernetic units are completely immune to this effect. 3. Collapse of Hives: If any Hive Urban Sprawl cell is subjected to extreme siege or orbital bombardment, the engine must permanently convert its terrain type to Rad-Wastes and massively reduce its local population value. 4. Diplomatic Alliances: Peaceful diplomatic subversion is viable only for Hymalazia, Achaemenidia, and Terrawatt Clans. Factions like Ursh and Pan-Pacific Empire are hardcoded to prioritize aggressive expansion and total eradication of neighbors.
