India, 600 BCE – The Age of Kingdoms
The Indian subcontinent is a vibrant mosaic of sixteen great realms, stretching from the snow-capped peaks of Gandhara to the fertile plains of Magadha. City-states and kingdoms vie for dominance, their treasuries filled with gold and silver, their armies bristling with chariots, elephants, and horsemen. Every turn brings new challenges: monsoon floods, barbarian raids, diplomatic crises, and opportunities for conquest.
You are the ruler of one of sixteen great kingdoms. Will you forge alliances, conquer your rivals, or build an empire? Manage your resources—gold, silver, wood, elephants, horses, soldiers, and population—and command your generals. The fate of the subcontinent lies in your hands.
Each kingdom has seven resource stats (Gold, Silver, Wood, Elephants, Horses, Soldiers, Population). Command and Loyalty stats apply to rulers and generals. Each turn, you may allocate resources to build, recruit, or march to war. Territory is represented by cells on the map; owning a cell gives you access to its resources. Hegemony increases as you expand your influence. The game ends when one kingdom achieves total Hegemony.
