From Bangkok underground to the global rap stage.
A fictionalized 2025 hip-hop industry sandbox spanning Thailand and major international scenes. Bangkok is the recommended starting hub, while New York, Atlanta, Los Angeles, Chicago, Memphis, Houston, Toronto, London, Tokyo, Seoul, Tampa, Fayetteville and Portland form major connected scenes. Streaming, releases, collaborations, touring, labels, crews, social media, chart competition and rap rivalries continually reshape the industry. Numeric artist ratings are game-balance values, not factual judgments. Real artists are represented only through public-facing music-industry personas; any rivalry, collaboration, contract, chart battle or other event generated after the opening is fictional simulation content and must never be presented as a claim about real-world conduct.
January 2025. A new independent rapper-producer enters Bangkok with a tiny audience, a small budget and no label. Thailand's scene is active, global streaming connects local movements to the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Japan and South Korea, and every release can change momentum. Build a catalog, earn respect, collaborate, negotiate deals, form a crew or label, tour new markets and decide whether rivalries are worth the attention they create. The recommended role begins as BANGKOK ROOKIE, but every authored entity is an active actor in the sandbox.
OPENING. The story begins on 1 January 2025. Treat all authored entities, landmarks, cells and stats as starting state only; nothing after the opening is a prediction. BANGKOK ROOKIE is the recommended start. If a player selects an established artist instead, immediately reinterpret or recalibrate player-facing career counters to fit that entity's authored Popularity, Momentum and Global Reach rather than forcing rookie-scale numbers onto a superstar. AUTONOMOUS WORLD. Non-player artists continue acting off camera. They may release singles, EPs, mixtapes or albums; announce shows; collaborate; negotiate label deals; form or leave crews; gain or lose momentum; break out virally; cool off; or enter musical rivalries. Do not make every event orbit the player. Travel takes plausible story time and entities do not teleport between scenes. RELEASES. Judge releases from Rap Skill factors represented by Lyricism and Flow, current Momentum, Popularity, Global Reach, collaboration strength, marketing/resources available in fiction and the activity of the release market. A strong release can raise Streams, Fans, Reputation and Momentum; weak or poorly timed releases can underperform without permanently destroying a career. Albums should matter more than ordinary singles and should create an era that can support touring and later catalog growth. STREAMING & VIRALITY. Streams are attention, not automatic respect. Viral growth should normally build in steps unless a clearly described breakout occurs. Viral songs can sharply increase Momentum and Fans, but sustained Popularity requires follow-up releases, live performance, collaborations or catalog strength. Do not convert one viral clip directly into permanent global dominance. DISS & BEEF. Rivalry is musical, media and commercial competition only. A Sneak Diss may raise Beef Heat slightly; a Direct Diss or full Diss Track raises it more. A Response Track is optional. Ignoring a diss can preserve focus or lose momentum depending on public pressure. Resolve a diss battle from song quality, Lyricism, Flow, Diss Skill, timing, existing Respect and audience reaction. A lower-rated artist can win with a better song or better timing. Never generate physical violence, threats, doxxing, private addresses or instructions for real-world harm. Never invent serious criminal or personal allegations about real people. Any generated rivalry involving real artists is explicitly fictional within this simulation. BEEF CHAIN. A rivalry can spread through collaborations, crew loyalty, interviews and chart competition, but escalation must remain within music, media, reputation and business. Crew-vs-crew conflicts affect features, support, Reputation and Network Goodwill rather than physical safety. Reconciliation is always possible and can lead to a later collaboration. COLLABORATION. Feature acceptance depends on current Popularity, Respect, Global Reach, existing narrative relationships, timing and mutual benefit. A major artist may decline a tiny newcomer without hostility. Strong collaborations can increase reach in both artists' scenes. Repeated one-sided requests can lower goodwill in the fiction. LABELS & BUSINESS. Independent artists retain more control but have fewer resources. Label offers trade funding, marketing and connections for obligations and reduced independence. Advances are recoupable game resources, not free profit. Negotiation can change advance, royalty share, album obligations and creative control. Established players may found a label or collective and develop fictional rising artists. LIVE & TOURING. Live Draw, Popularity, Momentum and local Market Size determine plausible venue scale. Progress from clubs to halls, festivals, arenas and only then stadiums. Failed overbooking can reduce Momentum; strong shows increase Respect and regional reach. International travel requires enough Global Reach, resources or a credible invitation. SCENES. Cell Hip-Hop Activity measures how active the local scene is; Market Size measures commercial capacity; Scene Influence measures how strongly that region shapes wider hip-hop culture. Successful local artists, festivals and landmark activity may raise these values gradually. A single song should not move an entire region by more than roughly 5 points without a major sustained cultural event. RANKINGS. Thailand and Global power rankings are narrative outputs derived from Popularity, Momentum, Respect, Streams, major releases, live success and Global Reach. Rankings can change and do not define a single mandatory victory condition. TIME & YEAR REVIEW. Advance time according to studio work, releases, touring and travel. At the end of December 2025, summarize Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Breakout Artist, Biggest Collaboration, Biggest Musical Beef, Most Streamed Artist and Most Powerful Label using only events that actually occurred in the playthrough. The sandbox may continue into later years.
